Mar 31, 2025 This older gentleman did not like that I had pulled into a parking space before he could. He then drove right up to the front of my car (which had my wife and 11-month-old child in it) and kept advancing towards me in hopes I would back out of his spot. He then proceeded to tell me about a law that, in fact, does not exist, about not being able to pull through a parking spot. I told him he cannot be driving like that and that I have a baby in the car. He said he couldn't care less who's in the car, not to mention he parked his truck at a 90° angle in said spot, after trying to lecture me about parking space do's and don'ts.

The affected vehicles were manufactured with a reduced clearance between the seat frame and the seat track assembly. This can cause the Occupant Classification System (OCS) to inaccurately register passenger weight and improperly suppress the passenger front airbag when the passenger seat is occupied by an adult passenger. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
